Homemade Strawberry Ice Cream Recipe

This is another spin-off recipe from the Homemade Peppermint Ice Cream Recipe.

Homemade Strawberry Ice Cream - uses Jello
14 Marshmallows, the regular size
1 c. Whole Milk
1/2 c. Cranberry Cherry Juice
Approx. 1 c. Chopped Fresh Strawberries
3 oz. Pkg. Strawberry Jello

4 oz. (1/2 container) Whipped Topping, like Cool Whip
1/2 c. Whole Milk
1/2 c. Cranberry Cherry Juice

In a saucepan over low/medium heat mix the first 5 ingredients. Heat and stir until the marshmallows are fully dissolved.

Cool slightly then place pan in freezer - Watch it closely, stirring every 10 minutes or so. This version will 'gel' before it starts getting mushy. So before it sets up too much, mix in the remaining 3 ingredients . If needed, use a hand mixer to blend it well. Then pour mixture into a plastic container and seal.
Return to freezer until firm, overnight is best.

Bye for now.
