Convert-A-Gauge ~ How to Convert the Gauge in Knit or Crochet Patterns

Convert -A- Gauge
Pattern Gauge Conversion Method by Patty Kubitzki

Convert ANY knit or crochet pattern gauge

to your swatch gauge using simple math calculations.

Will work for crochet or hand or machine knitting patterns.

How often have you tried to make a garment but
ended with frustration because you couldn't match the gauge
given in the instructions or have seen a garment you wanted
to make but desired it in a different yarn?
Making tension swatches over and over trying to match a certain
gauge sometimes seems so futile that often the
garment doesn't get made.

End that frustration forever!

BE CREATIVE . . . Try using a different stitch pattern than
what the pattern calls for. Make your garments come out
just the way you imagine them!

Instructions include:
How to make your swatch
Directions and samples for pattern conversions
Directions and samples for calculating special cases such as
Increasing and Decreasing
Short-Rowing
Shaping

This is simple math, doing calculations such as
16/8 = 2 or 24/10 = 2 with a remainder of 4
No calculator is needed.

numbers of stitches and rows in any knitting or crochet pattern
to the correct numbers you should knit or crochet
according to your swatch.

you like then selecting the yarn stitch pattern and needle size
you desire for a totally custom creation.

Yo-Yo Clown Machine Knitting Pattern

CLICK TO PIN THIS TO YOUR PINTEREST

These Yo-Yo Clowns are ready to celebrate Halloween and welcome in the holiday season. Aren't they cute?!

Maybe you remember the Yo-Yo Clown dolls made from gathered circles of fabric strung together to form the body, arms and legs. That was the inspiration behind this doll pattern. But these yo-yo's are a long spiral, easily made on either the standard gauge or bulky knitting machine. Even the head base and the hair are made on the knitting machine.

Learn more about how you can get this pattern and the darling face at THIS LINK on the KnittedHeirlooms.com website.
